Results in desired units

Hello. I am trying to calculate specific resistivity which.

I am inputting

ohm * mm^2 / m

The result, however, outputs kg * mm^3 / s^3 * A^2

Is there any way I can get it to output the result units as the input units?

Thanks.

Highlight/select the units only and type your desired units.

MC will default to the SI standard of which your's is a variation of.

I hope this helps.

Attach your sheet, or a sheet that shows your problem.

In general Mathcad (and Prime) will return SI units. There's no way for it to know exactly what kind of units to attach to a result. Most people prefer kg, some like lb better for a mass. Torque is generally expressed as N*m but J is essentially the same unit. So there is a way to attach the unit you want in the placeholder behind a result.

Do you use Mathcad, or Prime?

If you attach a Prime sheet, please tell which version you use, because Prime 5 can read all Prime sheets, but NOT save as any lower version.

Success!

Luc

Did not even notice I could attach a file. Thanks.

Also it adds *10^-6, which it does not when i leave out the units.

I use Prime 5.
