Want to thank the PTC Prime team. PTC do listen and fix things. This only effects people with the Ryzen chipsets instead of Intel.
In Prime 8 any use of the matrix functions that use the intel math kernel (IMK) for matrix manipulation like Cholesky, QR, LU, eigenvals, eigenvecs, simple inversion would instantly crash the v8 program if you were on a Ryzen chipset.
PTC have listened and fixed it for Prime 9.0.0.0.
