Unit Management for Creo Integration with Mathcad Prime

I've searched as best as I can to find any reference concerning controlling the units as they are passed from an embedded Mathcad Prime 9 file to Creo (9.0.4.0). I'm aware of the "locked-down" default unit system sets available to us in Prime - please PTC fix this and add the functionality like we had in v15 to establish our own default unit set!!! The issue stems from our Creo part model having units set to "mm", and Prime insisting, of course, to only pass results back to Creo in "m" (or in "cm" or "in" if selected as the default). Is there any "trick" to force Mathcad Prime to pass result units back to Creo in "mm"? BTW, I know we can strip the units and simply send back a numeric value by dividing the result in Prime by "mm". The challenge there is if somebody wants to switch unit systems in Creo, the process will return incorrect values from Mathcad.

In the meantime, I'll post an enhancement request in that section of the Mathcad forum to add custom default unit systems.

Thanks!

Can you confirm that you figured out the answer to this question based on what you posted here?

I manage the Creo and PTC Mathcad YouTube channels for PTC, as well as all PTC Mathcad marketing in general.

Yes! I haven't caught-up to replying back here...thanks for the nudge! Your reference to my reply on another post, that had a related issue, is correct and contains the fix to this issue. The biggest key to remember is the create all your parameters in Creo first and assign each a unit you wish to have it follow for your initial set-up. If you don't, the first time Mathcad Prime pushes back its values, the parameter will take on the value based on the unit set in Prime. Even with this "fix", there is still a need on the Prime side to offer the ability to establish a "custom default" unit set, like we used to have in Mathcad v15 and prior.
