I'm currently running PTC Mathcad 9.0,0 on Windows 11 Pro. After renewing my license, I received an email with two license files. One of the text license files has the word "standard" at the end of the file name.
which do I use?
I've opened each in a text editor. I do see at least one difference. I see the word "BORROW" in one of the licenses.
Any idea why I would receive two licenses? What are each for?

The difference is exactly as you noticed.
If you the standard license, then the Borrow option is not available and nobody can 'borrow' a license to remove from your company pool for the borrow time.
The license file with BORROW in the items will allow someone in your company to borrow the license.

I've got a node locked license (no external license server). So, I'm guessing the Borrow feature does not apply to my case. True?

That may be true, but nonetheless you could use the license without "standard" in it name. But then, it may not make any difference for you which one you use.

Hi,
YES, you are right. In case you bought a node locked license, a file containing the word BORROW makes no sense and PTC should not send it.
The email you got should also contain a short explanation:
The attachments are as follows:
Email 1 - lm_xxxx.txt - necessary for license borrowing.
Email 2 - lm_xxxx_standard.txt - license borrowing not supported and required for some older PTC products**.
These license packs may be configured as either Floating Licenses for a FlexNet server or as machine specific Node-Locked License files which do not require a license server.
*Mathcad Single User customers should note that licenses for Individual users are now node-locked licenses. Please refer to the Installation Instructions for Node-Locked Licenses section below.
