2011 KOP with ProE/Wildfire 4.0

Hi everyone, Our lab has been using ProE/Wildfire 4.0. I cannot open the 2011 KOP with it. I can open parts in Wildfire 5.0 that I loaded at an FRC training in the fall on my personal laptop. Is there anyway to use 4.0 with the KOP? Thanks. Jean-Ann

Hi Jean-Ann,

the 2011 KOP is all done in Creo (Wildfire) 5.0. There is a tool that allows for exporting a Wildfire 5 model to Wildfire 4, but I don't know if it's available in the student/schools edition.

You can open the files in Wildfire 5 and export to a neutral file (IGES/STEP) and then import them into Wildfire 4.0. You lose all the features and marametry of the Wildfire 5 model, but at least you will have solid parts.

I would have the lab update to Wildfire 5.0.
