Creo 5.0 Student Edition can´t be installed (Windows 10)

Hello everyone,

I tried everything and search google as well, but I couldn´t find a solution. In short, setup.exe doesn´t respond (I tried all 3 setup.exe files, noone of them worked. Could you help me?

What I did is below:

1-) downloaded the program (MED-100WIN-CD-420_5-0-0-0_Win64.zip - 4.01 GB)

2-) deactivated the virus program

3-) extracted it with 7zip

4-) runned setup.exe as administrator (there were 3 setup.exe, I tried the other two as well, none of them worked)

5) tried it with compatibility settings as as well.

P.S: I also reinstalled Windows update for C Runtime.

Hi,

1.] I use 7-zip 9.20 to unzip installation package

2.] try to launch setup.exe on different computer

3.] login as admin user

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the reply.

I tried the exact same file, which I downloaded and extracted with latest version of 7zip program before, on another PC. It showed the setup page without a problem. So, maybe my PC is missing some essential files. It is a (kinda) newly installed Windows 10 N (European addition).

Do you know which programs/files are essential for setup to work? Then, I can install them and try again later. Or should I try to do something else?

Edit: I login as admin user, btw.

Thanks again.

Hi,

1.] I installed Creo on Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Home, only

2.] I think Windows 10 N is not supported

3.] I am sorry I do not know what is missing in Windows 10 N

Okay, thanks for the reply anyway. 🙂

I think there is no difference between Windows 10 (Pro and Home) and Windows 10 N (Pro and Home) other than some pre-installed apps.

Have a nice day.
