Editing Fixed Geometry in the FIRST KOP CAD Models
This is a quick video demonstrating how to use the Solidy action in Creo Parametric. It is a quick and easy way to use a datum plane to "cut" an existing model without creating a sketch and an extrude feature which a lot of people do. I like this feature for making quick modifications to the KOP models when you're creating new, custom capabilities for your robot. We all like to use standard parts, but we also want to use them in some unintentional ways at times.
The second part of the video demonstrates how to use the Flexible Modeling Move action. By using the Dimension option, you can add parametric controls to your change and easily iterate your design as it evolves.
