Email Notification Flood

Is anyone else getting flooded with email notifications this morning?

I literally am getting 1 email notification a second, dating back to PRO/E 2001....

I went into my preferences and turned off all emails for now.

I think they are stripping out email addresses from the old ptcuser exploder posts that got rolled in to the community.

There are so many emails this morning, I can't even tell if they have responded to this issue.

I wonder if @Jaime_Lee would care to comment on how long this will go on.

 

Are we going to get every email since the beginning of time?

How do you turn off email notification?

Figured it out. I don't know how I missed this when I was looking earlier.

Hopefully subsriptions will still be there so when this mess is done, we can just turn emails back on and not have to resubscribe to all of the communities.

yeah, this is crazy. PTC must be bulk loading all the old messages and we're getting an email notification for every one of them. i was wondering why there were so many intralink 3.x questions coming through. if you log into the community, you can see the pop up notifications coming in like crazy.

 

thanks @RandyJones for the tip on turning off email. i'm out until this gets resolved.

Hi, MikeCavins,  This was isolated to members that were subscribed  to specific boards where a required fix was put in.  We did put up an announcement.  This should be the only time you ever experience this.  I apologize for the inconvenience. 

It might have been isolated, but I recieved over 2K messages last week. I would not consider that a trivial defect, but glad to hear it was a one-time event.
