I don't see the "reply" link on the notification email?

Maybe I'm jumping the gun, this notification was about 12 minutes after the annoucement.

It showed up on the next announcement along with the KUDOS link.

I believe the Kudos link will be handy until the email formatting is improved.

I don't either...

Me neither.

And I guess the idea that being able to see the entire post (with images, quote formatting, etc.) was important to reply by email functioning well didn't matter.

Not for me, I've still got nothin'. I'm not sure why you got a "reply"link on that notice, replies are turned off on that post (and all topics on that board).

Here's the notification I got for your post:

Hi everyone,

Thank you for this information. We are looking into the issue of reply by email links not appearing in email for content posted anywhere in the community.

This post https://community.ptc.com/t5/Detailing-MBD-MBE/auxillary-view/m-p/567727/highlight/true#M26766 was my first reply via email...it worked as expected.

I've also kudo'd via the link in the email too. That will surely generate more kudo's from me... and quit calling me shirley Smiley Happy

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the updates. Please let us know if you continue to encounter issues.

I still have no reply or kudo links in my notifications.

Just out of curiosity, are you logged into the PTC Community?

I have to be to reply, but the community logs me out multiple times a day so I can't say that I am logged in when an email comes in.  Not sure how that would effect the content of the notification email though.

I do not have a browser window open at this moment. I don't believe it's a requirement to be logged in to reply via email (as I am doing as I type).
I'm sure the system does some sort of validation that the email is coming from the valid email address I am registered from and possibly the link is specific to me, it's not a "simple" email address that It's replying to.

@TomU @dgschaefer

It looks like @StephenW was successful.  Can you try again?

I've been watching my notifications, I still don't have any reply or kudo links.

@dgschaefer Are you using any spam filtering software, and/or have you checking spam/junk type folders?

Only, I believe, what comes with MS Outlook.

Besides, I'm getting the emails just fine, they are not being filtered, they are just missing the links.  My junk folder is empty.

Do other web links come thru okay? Maybe your email system is stripping out suspicious links from your email??
Such as the home depot link I put below?

How about mail-to links, like the one below?
mailto:ptc1.prod%7C35t3d0c1a%7C75h3207-bc9d-4a91-9e69-83350a673@reply01.lithium.com?subject=Re:%20Reply%20by%20email&body=%0A%0A%23%23-%20Please%20type%20your%20reply%20above%20this%20line%20-%23%23

That comes through as un-clickable gibberish, both in the notification email:

And here on the forum:

Stephen's example was un-clickable for me as well, but I am seeing the "Reply" and "Give Kudos" links:

My wife refers to most of my actions a gibberish, so I'm used to that!! Smiley Tongue

Would the link have not been gibberish if the emoji (that knows better than you) was converted in the middle of the text?

Test this link?

The link didn't go thru and now I can't edit the post...yuck

I added it here...maybe...

The link shows up but it won't let me use it.  It was specific to you and just bounces back:

"Reply by email can not be posted"

So the question is really supposed to be if @dgschaefer email system is stripping off the email links.

If it is, I'm not sure why or how.  We use MS Office 365 and MS Outlook like many others here I suspect.  I checked online and I get the same thing there as I do in Outlook.
