Conceptual design often starts in a 2D format, whether it be a napkin sketch or a, gulp, AutoCAD drawing file. Ultimately, a 3D model is created and managing 2D to 3D and 3D to 2D can be a full time job. Does the 3D data imported reflect what the latest 2D data is? Does the 2D date reflect the latest 3D data? How can I easily see the differences between the two? In this presentation the presenter will explain Solar Turbines 2D strategies of using PTC Creo Layout in combination with PTC Creo Parametric and PTC Windchill to effectively manage 2D design alongside of 3D design.
