Academic Re-License Not Working.... Please Help!!

I am trying to re-license an academic version of creo 3.  I followed the re-license guide shown here for the standard student edition:

Relicensing Guides

After it asks me for my PTC login information it gives me this error:

Error in license processing.  Please contact PTC license management"

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

probably your problem is related to your Internet connection. Therefore it is difficult to give you some valuable advice. Try to connect to Internet by diffferent way and re-run installation.

By connecting in a different way, do you mean a wired connection versus WiFi?

Thanks,

Maybe wired connection will help maybe not ...

You can also try different Internet provider.

I will try installing it with a wired connection and if it doesn't work ill take a few screen shots.

Thanks

I tried a wired connection tonight without success.

This is the error I keep getting at the licensing stage:

I have tried removing the license sources bellow as well and it also didn't work.  This is getting to be very frustrating considering we have projects/assignments due and lab time is limited.

Hi,

go to C:\ProgramData\PTC\licensing directory and look into license file ? This file contains licensing information similar to the following code ...

INCREMENT CREOPMA_SchoolSTD3 ptc_d 34.0 12-oct-2017 \

    uncounted XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX \

    VENDOR_STRING="VSVER=2.0 \

    LO=(list of module codes)" \

    HOSTID=PTC_HOSTID=00-11-22-33-44-55 SUPERSEDE \

    ... and so on"

CREOPMA_SchoolSTD3 ... license name

12-oct-2017 ... end of "license life"

list of module codes ... list of numeric codes

00-11-22-33-44-55 ... MAC address of your network card

Please check end of "license life" (is it future date ?) and MAC address (is it equal to your LAN or WIFI ?).

If license file contains VALID information, then you can use it during installation as shown in the License Summary section in your picture (in such case you do not enter Product Code in Simple License Entry section).

If license file contains INVALID information, then you can go to C:\ProgramData directory, remove PTC directory and re-run installation.
