This video demonstrates how to add the DESCRIPTION column to the PTC Creo Model Tree making it easier to identify components in the assembly.
What's the best way to make this stick around so it's pre-configured that way for every part and every launch of Creo?
We use Windchill a lot, so having the PTC_COMMON_NAME visible is very handy. Easy to add, but we haven't been able to get it to stay. We can save the settings as tree.cfg and reload them each time, but there has to be am easier way...
1. set your model tree als you wish
2. save your model tree into *.cfg file
3. set your config. pro options mdl_tree_cfg_file (Specifies the Model Tree configuration file to be loaded when Creo is started)
4. Example: mdl_tree_cfg_file C:\Applic\CREO_2_parametric\tree.cfg
Hope thise will help you...
