Can't activate purchased license

Hey! I bought the 1-year student license (PTC Prime 😎 this week, but I can't activate it. License request failes. See screenshot.

What do I do?

Hi,

1.] What Host ID is included inside license file ?

2.] Run ipconfig /all > ip.txt command in Command prompt window and upload ip.txt file.

Hi,

it look like you do not understand me. Just do following steps:

  • open Command prompt window
  • inside the window type ipconfig /all > ip.txt and press Enter
  • the command creates ip.txt file in directory shown in Command prompt window prompt
  • ip.txt file is text file ... it can be opened in Notepad

Hi,

the command created ip.txt file in MartinHanak_0-1679045217419.png directory.

1.] ip.txt file does not contain physical address A8-7E-EA-E9-C6-3B (included in license file)

 

2.] your laptop does not have LAN connector, only WiFi network card is available

Please disable MAC randomization, reboot laptop, generate new ip.txt file and send it to me.

according to https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS68726 article, you can:

Request for a license manually by providing Mathcad product code and physical address of network adapter using web case logger. The license file will be sent via E-mail.

Web case logger URL ... http://support.ptc.com/support/mathcad_supportCenterSingleUser.htm

Send them MAC address of your WiFi network card ... EE-43-84-7D-C6-79

Thank you. I've tried to send a request.

I presume product code is the same as licens key?

And MAC adress the same as host ID?

Attachments shows immediate respond.

Hi,

it looks like your request was rejected.

Try another method ... send email to academicsupport@ptc.com

Describe your request, add Mac address and the product code.
