Constraining sub-assemblies when using drag

When we did the PTC training in Oregon, Scott showed us how to constrain certain components so they don't move when we are using drag. This is especially useful when you have multiple components that can move in your assembly and when you start dragging all of them start moving.

Our team has now built up an assembly and we'd like to do this, but can't figure it out.

SM - Can you remind us how this is done in the drag panel?

Thanks,

Kris K

OK. Figured it out.

In the drag dialog box, next to snapshot, there is a constraint tab. You can go there and click on the icon that says body-body lock, select the two moving parts that you want to lock and click down middle mouse button, and it adds a lock constraint on the mechanism.

Thanks,

Kris K
