Does anyone know if the New Creo 3.0 will run on windows 10 ?
Solved! Go to Solution.
PTC is currently in the process of post validating Creo 3.0 M050 for the final release of Windows 10. This is a bit of a chicken and egg issue. Microsoft did not release the final version of Windows 10 until after PTC released Creo 3.0 M050. If everything works out, Creo 3.0 M050 will be supported for Windows 10. If not, the plan is make Creo 3.0 M060 fully supported on Windows 10.
Creo 3.0 M060 is planned for release on the second week of September 2015 and will be considered for the PTC Academic programs.
Yes, Creo 3.0 M050. Is running on Windows 10.
I have not been able to confirm any official support for Windows 10 for Creo 3.0 from PTC yet, but we're still investigating. The platform support document does not list Windows 10 as a supported OS, but we'll keep asking questions until we can give you the proper guidance.
The Academic program is only offering Creo 3.0 M040 at this point. If there is full support for Windows 10 @ M050, we'll be sure to let you know and update the Academic version as soon as possible.

Scott Morris - Any update on Windows 10 compatibility? Lots of inquiries here about it here and the official PTC docs still have nothing definite. Creo 3 M060 is out and is not labeled as Windows 10 compliant.

No, not at all. Last I heard the CAD and PLM teams were working together to define the requirements, validate the pairings and make an announcement, but its been quiet lately. I'm not responsible for the announcement, just trying to get the best information out to the FIRST teams using Creo Parametric.
Creo Parametric 3.0 M060 is available on the Academic Program Software Downloads page if you'd like to update to the latest build.
It works fine on my fully updated windows 10 computer.
