Error Code 0x0600012 when starting Creo9.0.0.0 Student Edition

Every time I try to start Creo, the error message pops up and the program shuts down. I tried following tips and solutions from past versions but they don't help either. I am also missing the standard .exe application and the shortcut doesn't work properly either, which makes the only path I can use to open Creo already finished files.

Hi,

my suggestion:

1. save a copy of license file located in C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing directory
2. uninstall Creo
3. remove erase the remains of the installation from C:\Program Files\PTC directory (if any remains exist)
4. install Creo (do not enter product code, enter path to license file at the bottom of installer window)
