Windchilla,
I´ve recently read about externalization of enumerated value lists which is possible in PDMLink since 10.2 M0xx.
I would like to take advantage of the possibility and use already existing external value lists for parameters/attributes.
Is there anybody who implemented this already and has a bit more details than the elearning overview which is pretty much skipping the interesting parts.
For bit deeper knowledge I would be very grateful.
regards
chris
Solved! Go to Solution.
Meanwhile there is a pretty good document about how to implement external enumerated value lists.

In my opinion there is missing just one thing.
It´s about how the customEnum.properties should be configured and formatted.
Hi Christian,
I suppose you are referring to one of the tutorials on PTC University Learning Exchange ("eLearning overview"). Note that these are only small snapshots of training and do only cover one aspect at a time. If you could let me know which specific tutorial you were interested in, I can see if this topic is covered in the full PTC Windchill library.
Thanks
Bettina
Hey Bettina,
thanx a lot for your reply. Im refering to the following e-learning tutorial.
Any extended material would be great.

Christian,
do you mind to be more specific?
How should the customEnum.properties be formatted?
Maybe an example will help.
Thank you!
