Number parameter when renaming

Hi guys,

I may be reaching back to another release of Windchill, but shouldn't we be able to set the "Number" to the same thing as the "File Name" when doing a rename? Is that a Windchill preference? If so, can we set it for all team members, or does each team member have to change their own?

I'd be happy to just get rid of the Number field completely. Since we are not using Windchill Parts at all, there is really very little need for anything but the File Name. Now if I can just get admin rights...wait, strike that! I don't want any control on this server!

I ended up just having teams remove "Number" and "Name" fields from their views.
