PTC Creo 9.0 University Student Edition Premium / Installation problems
I purchased the Creo Student Premium Edition on 26.07.2022 and sent my certificate of enrollment to ptc.nam@digitalriver.com on the same day . On 29.07.2022 I received the order confirmation with my product code.
To my problem:
After calling the installation, I was able to generate the license with my received product code. However, in the next step, the application selection is empty and I could not proceed with the installation. I tried it again today and now the error message "You have reached the maximum number of license requests available for your product type" comes up when creating the license.
I hope you can help me.
Kind regards
Roman Sauer

Hi,
maybe installation zip file is corrupted, please download it again from https://support.ptc.com/appserver/auth/it/esd/academicFree.jsp page.
How did you unzip zip file ? I use 7-zip application.

Hi,
maybe Windows 11 home is the root of the problem.
What Creo version did you install ?
Please provide detailed description of installation procedure. Include screenshot pictures, too.
Make a backup copy of license file located in C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing directory.
Open license file in Notepad and publish screenshot picture of Notepad window.

Unfortunately I deleted the generated license file.
But I got to this point of the install:
However, I received an automatic email from academicsupport@ptc.com with a license file. But I only get to the same point
Here are the notepad screenshots of the license file from the email:

Hi,
below you can find recommended installation procedure.
- create C:\PTC directory
- set access rights to C:\PTC directory to Full control for Everyone
- create C:\PTC\Creo9 directory
- save license file into C:\PTC directory ... for example you can use mylicense.dat name
- download MED-100WIN-CD-460_9-0-0-0_Win64.zip and save it into C:\PTC directory
- unzip MED-100WIN-CD-460_9-0-0-0_Win64.zip into C:\PTC\MED-100WIN-CD-460_9-0-0-0_Win64 directory
- run setup.exe from C:\PTC\MED-100WIN-CD-460_9-0-0-0_Win64 directory
- do not enter Product code
- add path to license file into following area (for example you can use C:\PTC\mylicense.dat) ... remove invalid entries if necessary
- continue with installation
- enter C:\PTC\Creo9 installation directory instead of C:\Program Files\PTC
