Hi,
I have wildfire 5 given to me by the school, and I have the schools license, I would like to install parametric 3, how can I do this (I am also in a high school, not a university or colleague. So I can't use http://www.ptc.com/company/community/download/ to get creo 1).
Thanks guys.

Hi Angus,
The correct link that you are looking for is www.ptc.com/go/creoforschools. This is the download for Creo Parametric 1.0 Schools Edition and is the latest release for schools. At this link, you'll also notice that there is an Installation Guide to help you with the install process. Also, there is a link to the Learning Exchange, a site containing tutorial videos for you to become familiar with Creo Parametric 1.0.
Have fun!

I've downloaded one from http://www.ptc.com/products/creo-elements-direct/modeling-express/ and it has worked, I registered it to my PTC account, and it is working, but I'm not sure if it is a trial or not?
You have downloaded "Creo Elements/Direct Modeling Express 4.0" is a free version of Creo Elements/Direct Modeling with some limitations (like: create assemblies with up to only 60 unique parts; active Internet connection required to run software every 72 hours). Here you can view a Creo Elements/Direct Modeling comparison chart (free vs. full version comparison): http://www.ptc.com/WCMS/files/129462/en/6772_Creo_Express_TS_EN.pdf

While there is no license cost, individual registration and an internet connection are required to run Creo Elements/Direct Modeling Express. Full license capabilities and local license administration capabilities are only available with the professional version of Creo Elements/Direct Modeling.

You mean Creo Parametric 1.0 M030 or 2.0 F000 (the latest release)?

It should be noted that the Schools edition of Creo 2.0 is scheduled for release soon (mid-June, give or take a week) so you may want to wait.
Thanks, that as worked. Will I be able to update from 1.0 to 2.0 or 3.0. Also would it be possible to transfer it from one computer to another?
You will be able to update to Creo 2.0, the latest release, when it becomes available. As Adam mentioned above, this should be released around mid-June.
You will not be able to simply copy/paste the software and files from one computer to another, as the license file is tied to the Host ID of the computer you initially installed it on. However, you can load the software on to another computer and then you can generate a new license file during installation.
