ProE on native XP & virtual XP on Mac laptop

Hello: I use ProE 3.0 Student Edition (from JourneyEd) on an Apple MacBook Pro laptop. I run Windows XP SP3 both natively (on a partition of the hard drive) and in a virtual machine (using VMware Fusion). ProE works decently in the virtual machine. However, there are times I'd like to use it in the native XP machine with its full access to all hardware resources. Currently, ProE is locked to the virtual machine's physical address and fails to open when using XP natively. Since both the virtual and native XP machine reside on the same laptop, is there a way to obtain a license that accommodates both XP installations? Thank you, Bryan

Hi Bryan, Thanks for your email. While I understand that they are on the same machine. The Virtual machine uses a different MAC address then the XP OS. Currently, your license is tied to the MAC of the virtual machine. Please send your request to - and we will be able to assist you. As a side note, we do not support Pro/ENGINEER Student Edition running in a Virtual Machine environment. For that matter we do not support Pro/E running on Apple machines. Regards, Mark Fischer
