Scalextric 4 Schools - Ordering parts

Hello all

Is any other school currently doing this project?

I have 30 eager students that have been waiting since September 2012 to do this project, unfortunately Horby have shown no stock available on the parts since then.

PTC has been contacted and chased this up but I've received no update since November. Quite disappointing really as why run a project/challenge if the parts aren't available for 4+ months.

Has anybody been successful in ordering the parts and completing the project?

Chris,

I know someone that was seeing the same problem as you. He simply called Hornby America (877) 358-6405 and ordered the parts without problem.

You may want to give that a try.

I think I was the one who replied to your original enquiry.

To improve our service, PTC has been working with Hornby to supply parts and track through our (PTC) online global e-store. The changeover has meant temporarily, the components C8523 and C8524 became unavailable in the UK. The lead time for supply from the manufactuer in China has meant the Scalextric parts packs will be available at the beginning of February.

Hornby and PTC sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
