Summer Project-Learn Windchill

I've been wanting to implement Windchill for my FRC team for the past couple years, but once we get into the work of the season, I don't have time for the learning curve and end up not using it. However, with summer soon here and some time to spend I'm determined to figure it out so we can make use of it for next year. Here is where I am at: I have an account & can access Windchill. I have the Getting started document. I click on the project link & have created a project. The getting started document makes me think there should be something there: "FRC Project Content Your project has been created with several default folders to inform and support your FRC team. The default folders in your projects are..." I think that perhaps I am not accessing the project correctly or have not created it right. How do I access the resources available for FRC teams? thanks, David Clark Coach, team 1245

Hi David, Starting next week, we are going to have bi-weekly webinars on PTC products for FIRST. This includes a session on Windchill. Here is the page listing the schedule: www.ptc.com/go/firstworkshops I just sent you an email with some additional details on accessing your project. Thanks, Mark

Thanks Mark, I definitely take advantage of these. There seems to be a slight discrepancy in the advertised times. On the web site states the time as: Thursday, June 11, 2009, 11:00 PM – Friday, June 12, 2009, 12:00 AM MST (-0600 GMT) The confirmation email I received: # Date: June 12, 2009 # Time: 1:00 pm EST The second one gets my vote, but I'll try and be there either way. Can you confirm the time of the webinar.

Hi David, You mean you do not want to stay up until 1:00 am to attend the call? LOL I noticed that as well and have since updated the site. The meetings are at 1 - 2 pm!! Thanks, Mark
