Hi,
I downloaded the Creo Student Edition 7.0.0.0. and it is very important to me to use the Manikin.
On the website (http://support.ptc.com/products/proe/studentedFAQ1.htm) it says that the Manikin and Manikin Analysis is available in this version. However, when I want to intesert the Manikin, it says that it was created with the commercial version of Creo and that it is not compatible with the student version.
What do I have to do to use the manikin? Do I have to change any settings?
Thanks for your help!
Kind regards,
Alexandra
Hello,
Manikin extension and Manikin analysis are not included in the free student edition of any Creo. The article you found is extremely old (since ProE Wildfire 5.0, before Creo).
You can use the simple Manikin lite, with the K12 license (product code: BE700908EDSTUDENTEDK12), but the analysis will not be available.
Thanks,
Alex
Hello,
i installed the K12 licence and tried to insert the manikin, but there comes the same error message as with Alexandra and creo stops working. Do you now a solution for this problem?
Best regards
Gabriel
Hello,
K12 license can open commercial files, so there is no reason for any error. I bet that your computer is still using the student edition.
Try to enter the folder: C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing and delete the university student license from this folder (the only license in there should be the K12 one. After that please run setup.exe and choose reconfigure existing product. If the K12 license is in the folder, you will not need to insert anything in the licensing window, if the K12 license is not shown under License summary, please use the product code and your account. Finish the reconfigure and enjoy Creo!
Thanks,
Alex
