Video Data with Things

We'd like to attach video data with one of our thing templates. Is this doable?

One idea, using the hyperlink property on your Thing Template. As this can be used with the HTML5Video widget, as this property can be bound to the VideoLocation property:

https://marketplace.thingworx.com/tools/html5-video


This requires using an HTTP link, here is an example:

http://clips.vorwaerts-gmbh.de/VfE_html5.mp4


This is an example of storing it in Thing and using it for a Mashup.
