I'm looking for documentation on "Connection Server". I want to know how to set it up and the best practices and etc.

You can find some documentation on this wiki of the commercial version. The wiki is avaible here. http://support.ptc.com/cs/help/thingworx_hc/thingworx_6.0_hc/
