Would like to start in the right directions mastering ProE

I would like to know what and where I should start my training? With some experience in 2000i2 I always have and now want to start to study ProE. I did a electrical sub station in ProE to try to convert my company over but using the student version and not being able to use items from companies that use ProE like ABB it took to much time for what inventory we have in Autocad. Currently working on the metro project in Barcelona Spain I have tried to use ProE but my student version of not being able to import items that are already done puts me behind the 8 Ball and will never make the case of how ProE could change every point of the project. So that is why I feel I should focus the next 2 years learning Pro E to try to better convey companies on switching over. Thanks Jason Fisher

Hi Jason, Are you currently enrolled at a college or University? Does the school have access to Pro/E? IF so, you also have access via your teacher to PTC training materials on all subjects of Pro/E. They should be able to provide those to you for your studies. I would begin with the basics…..Intro to Pro/ENGINEER to get you up to speed on the newest release. Then focus on Assembly and detailing. If you are interested in understanding how Pro/E is used in industry, I would also look at large assembly management and top down design philosophies. The best steps forward is to combine your training with a project you are doing. There is nothing better then actual practical experience. If you have further questions, please let me know. Wow how time goes by. I finally was able to save 2500.00 dollars and was able to buy access to PTC Univ. Training classes. After talking on the the phone to PTC I was told that I could take the Intro class to PTC WF4.0 and then have access to the classes. On the last day of my class and after paying this fee I found out that I was told incorrectly. Unemployeed and I take all the money to do this and I get scamed. Thanks and hope the same comes around to PTC.
