i am implementing a virtual lab using electrical circuit and server but when i went through the videos of monitoring temperature using raspberry pi they told to have sensor ? Is it necessary to have sensors for making mashups or can i feed real time data directly into widgets present in workspace?

Hi,

Now I understand better You don't need sensors or boards(RaspberryPi's, etc) in order to send data to Thingworx. You can simply send data to Thingworx and use the data services to bind that data to the widgets inside the workspace(mashup). All you have to take in consideration is how you will send that data into TWX and how will you use it(you will need to create at least one remote thing in Thingworx that will retrieve that data from the external source). How are you sending that data to Thingworx? Rest or sdk?

Thank you,

Adrian
