Hi, I am a fresher in PRO-E. Can you tell me about date codes? And is there any way to get back a wildfire2.0 file which is saved in wildwire 3.0?

Pro/E is upwards compatible…you can open WF 2.0 models in WF 3.0 and continue to use them. You cannot open WF 3.0 models in WF 2.0.

Are u sure it is not possible at all.Isn"t there any other means to retrieve the file.

Hello, Dima is right, Pro/E is not backwards compatible. You cannot open native Pro/E WF 3.0 Models in WF 2.0. That being said, you can save the WF 3.0 as a nuetral file and then open it in WF 2.0. You would perform a Save A Copy and choose the type as Neutral, IGES or STEP. Give that a try. The models will not be fully featured...but it will get the data in WF 2.0. Thanks, Mark
