graphic driver problems

I have recently installed proe 4 student edition on new dell w/vista. I seem to be having problems w/ dim. lines showing up, and, the curser highlighting any lines, datums, or points picked to place dim. The same version at school works, so trying to do homework and practice is most frustrating. I've been told to be sure that the graphics driver is most up-to-date, which after checking with intel, it is. Any thoughts and comments to help are much appreciated

Hi Michael, This is most likely a graphics issue. You have two options……to try. 1) Download the latest graphics driver from the computer manufacture or go directly to the graphics card manufacture for the driver. The default drivers included in Vista are not up-top-date. 2) IF that does not work, you can switch Pro/E to use emulated graphics. Attached is a config.pro file that contains a command to not use OPENGL graphics. Please place the attached file in the following directory: NOTE: you will have to extract the file to use it. <Pro/E install Directory>\text If you used the default install directory, it is c:\program files\proengineer student edition\text Start Pro/E and see how that works.
