how to connect arduino with thingworx for delivering data from arduino to thingworx. there is a arduino serial com connection in academic edge connector. what is it for?

thanks for the reply.actually  my question is , in academic edge connector..there are 2 options in connection type. one is "simulated connection" which is for generating datas and another is "arduino serial com"... what it is used for?
