Solve Block Indexing

I'm looking at pipe flow in a series/parallel configuration.  Each pipe/flow/head is an index.  It works if I type in all the head loss equations individually, but I'd like to use a loop to automate it.  But, Mathcad doesn't seem to like it.

This works:

This doesn't work (no solution found):

Any way to get it to work?

Thanks,

Here are two ways to make it work. The first one uses vectorization and is the preferred one.

Ah, excellent work as always Werner.  I actually used the fun(Q) solution - as I need to add Moody factors and whatnot.

Thanks!

P.S. Don't you ever sleep?
