Best Statistics software?

Best Statistics software?

Hi,

Here we are, on the verge of 10.4, and still statistics software companies are asking if I have a 68k or PPC computer. Where can I get a decent statistics software package?
I'm used to using StatView - which no longer exists (and only works in os 9).
What I'd like is a stat package that does normal stats - like ANOVAS and the relevant post-hoc tests... And ideally easily modifiable plots (I hate having to cut and paste pictures of plots, and having labels be whatever the variable names are in the data file - please, dear god, let me edit it!)
Anyone?

Any help will be apprecited.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

Re: Best Statistics software?

Hi,

I recommend the free software "R"

The R Project for Statistical Computing

Getting Started

R is a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics. It compiles and runs on a wide variety of UNIX platforms, Windows and MacOS.

Cheers
