Calculations-check

Does anyone know if it's possible to let mathcad show the digits inside an equation so quality-control of the calculations is more effective.

For eksample:

a:= 2 b:= 5
c:= a*b
c=2*5 [how can i let mathcad show this automatically??]
c=10

I know about the explicit-funtion, but it is very unhandy when you're working with long equations. I think there should be an easy way to show the inside of a formula. Perhaps I just don't know about it... 🙂

EXPLICIT is the feature for substituting in previously-defined variable values.

Thanks,

Massai,

I suggest you right-click on the equation and tick "hide keywords". This collapses away the bit you don't need.

I further suggest that you type "explicit,a,b,c=" to show the equals sign and the numerical result on the same line.

Just solve in separate steps: one to show intermediate result and another to show the fully solved version.

Hopefully, massai is still interested in an answer after more than 9 years of waiting!

You're about to resurrect a dead thread 🙂

BTW, the use of the "solve" command in your answer is misleading. You should rather use an assignement c:=a*b than using an equation c=a*b which is then solved for c.
