Copy/paste a region into another application?

My understanding is that MathCAD Prime 3.0 is supposed to allow the user to copy a region within a MathCAD document and then paste it into another application (e.g. MS Word)... My understanding is that the pasted material would be a non-editable image but I am hoping that it would be sharp and resizable (e.g. an enhanced metafile).

But I cannot figure out how to copy from MCP 3.0 to, say, MS Word.

I select a region within my MC document, copy to (I hope) the Window Clipboard and then change focus to the MS Word doc... But MS Word finds there is nothing to paste. Am I doing something wrong?

I don't think that its you who is doing something wrong. Cut and paste in Prime is far away from as it should be, dealing with simple bitmaps only. Given that the prime product of PTC is a high end CAD program its not really understandable why there wasn't something more useful implemented.
