jmG,
A) there are scripts (sliders) ... Just wanted to bring it up from your comment on an other post :).
B) have you checked to make sure there are no errors on your version of Mathcad?

As an example: 3. The generalised seeded root scanner for inversing a function

You define the npts in an array. I understand what you did, but it errors in Mathcad 14 M030

Now that was RUDE!<<br> ==> NOT at all, the exact answer, point by point.
How could I be rude, helping so much and so largely ?
Many collabs tend to fly away of the question, not me: too old .
You are pointing out that 14 does not take all the constructs of the previous versions.
I bet there is in the work sheet another discretizer doing same.
How do you appreciate or dislike so many 14 users didn't come back ?
OK, it was mentioned long time ago this construct does not work in 14.
Is that the only thing that does not work ?
Will look at it tonight. Nobody even replied if 14 has a built-in discretizer.

JmG

Try that discretizer.

jmG

It took you this long to notice that jmG is typically rude? I'm surprised.

No, I've said it before. I just wanted to get my point across that some "power users" have incorporated scripting (sliders) into the sheets that are posted in this forum. To jmG's credit, there are a lot of sheets that are worth learning from, not everyone uses Version 11.2a.

At least, you know that my work sheets have only sliders. Other collabs have all sorts of them, most of the time not working. I want to correct you: I'm the only collab using sliders. You know why ? There are as many lazy Mathcaders than there are in lazy peoples in the society, if you don't chew for them they won't bite.

Does the new discretizer work ?
Please ask any question in that work sheet.
Will be OFF between Dec 01 ... Jan 15

This kind of assignaments are based on a bug from some mathcad version. To make this working into Mathcad 14 there are an option somewhere under Preferences or worksheet options, but can't remember where.
