How to define unknown variable in matrix and solve it?

how can i use mathcad prime 5 to solve it for b?

To solve for b you need to know a property of the matrix, such as:

1. What it contains:

2. The total sum of elements.

3. Its determinant.

(Apparently any value of b  will do here)

(or none)

@Fred_Kohlhepp  The forum experiences quite an amount of spam postings. The text bodies usually are copied from various sources from the inet and seem to be triggered by key words in the initial posting. So they look at first sight as if the are legitimate answers. Usually they contain a link at the end (the only reason for the post anyway) and sometimes this links is only added after a while (probably to trick moderation).
The moderators here often don't delete the posting but just remove the link from it. Probably because they aren't sure if, despite of the spam link, the mail text may have some relevance to the thread. Maybe they delete the posting only after an explicit use of "Notify Moderator" - not sure. I guess you can see some of that kind of postings right down below here in this thread 😞
