Mathcad Collaboratory User Forums Are Up!

The Mathcad Collaboratory User Forums at http://collab.mathsoft.com/~mathcad2000 are back up.

Mona Zeftel, can you tell me who to call to get some help installing MathCAD on my laptop? Honestly, I have never seen a software company that's so hard to deal with. PTC's web site support links and phone numbers are almost all disconnected or non-functional.

Russ, I apologize for not checking these forums until now, so I didn't see your post earlier. I don't know which version of Mathcad you have or which Operating System. Some users have been having problems installing on Win 7, but others have not. If you read through these forums, you will see some suggestions for installing on Win 7, if that is your issue. You need to be an administrator on your computer. You need to uninstall first. Contact PTC customer support at one of these numbers depending where you live, http://www.ptc.com/support/mathcad_contacts.htm I have heard from other users that as soon as they reach someone, they do get installation help. Mona Is there anything actually being done, or has the person/people responsible given up? It's got to the point where I am now getting private emails asking me if I know what is happening. Richard

Richard, Stuart and others, No one has given up on the Mathcad Collab User Forums. The WebBoard software is not working, and the internal help desk is trying to restore it. Mona Zeftel
I, too, am looking forward to the day this is fixed. Just yesterday I went looking for some information (that used to be) posted there. I don't know about anyone else, but this site runs abysmally slow whenever I try to access it. Even if there were equal content (which there isn't) I wouldn't want to come here regularly for info. - Guy
Second that! ~R~

Seems to be back up now. Hooray!

After purchasing MC12 in Oct 2004, there were a couple of long delays - basically due to the negative inspiration of the design of the equation editor in MC12. I am now attempting to re-install MC12 on the same computer (which crashed a couple of years ago). Nothing works, not the old activation number, not the "sales order" or "customer number" for account upgrade - phone number listed in software install is disconnected. I share Ross' frustration at PTC.

Recently found an old archive that contains the answer files (№1-1161) from Tom Gutman (for the period 2003-2008) that were given on the old forum: http://collab.mathsoft.com/~Mathcad2000

Thanks Vladimir!

I can add selected items in the range 1167 to 1560.

Uitstekend!

OK, so its time to add my collection of Gutman's files beginning from 1162 up to 1565. I also included all variants which emerged when the threads evolved.

Danke!
