Migration Guide for 15?

One of the tips when starting Mathcad refers to a Migration Guide to be found under Tutorials.

Could not find this Guide under Tutorials. There is a reference to it in the index of the Users Manual, but no actual guide there either.

What would be the actual location of the Migration Guide?

Thank you.

Laurent,

It is now called the Upgrade Guide.

Click on Help > Tutorials.

You'll see a link to the Upgrade Guide.

Mona

That's one of the places I had looked under for this Migration (Upgrade) Guide.

I have an Academic 15 and do not see the said Guide under Tutorials.

Mona,

Found part of what I was looking for at Adept Scientific.

I'd say that for about 99% of the added features in 15 (vs 2001), I don't even have the faintest idea of what they might be about. Maybe good for clocking neutrinos at the CERN....

But there are a few very basic ones that are difficult to do without once you got a taste of them....like debugging for instance. Excel exchange good to have too, and I will have to have a look at the enhanced data fitting (and the intriguing data fitting with automatic derivative).

Please let me now if there is a link to this Upgrade Guide somewhere.

Thank you.

Exactly. On my Academic licence, the list starts at "User's Guide". The listing for Upgrade Guide shown in the picture here is not avaible in Academic 15 (at least not in mine).

What chapter are interesting to you? I save them in PDF format for you.

Would be mainly interested in any warning about structures in 2001 that may not work in 15 and would require rewriting.

The new features also, that were well covered in your previous PDF.

Does the Upgrade Guide include any warnings about migration of Solver Blocks?

-- I have blocks that were working perfectly well in 2001 that do not work at all in 15 (answer is not just different, it is way off) until I change the solver method to Quasi-Newton.

Is that something that needs to be done sytematically with Solver Blocks from older versions?

Laurent,

Please see the attachment.

Thank you. Looks like it goes back to M11. From 2001, I am on my own....

Interesting info.

The PDF file "Mathcad 15.0 Upgrade Feature Comparison Chart" is attached to the message.

Thanks. Useful document.

You're welcome.
