Multiple equalities in a Mathcad Equation

Why Mathcad do not allow equalities like:

a:=(x+y)^2:=x^2+y^2+2*x*y

in witch to consider finally as a equality between first and last term? so being a:=x^2+y^2+2*x*y

Mathcad dont allow to insert a second equal sign in a given equation where to expose succesively the intermediary forms of a given identity.

dont forget that complex numbers appeared from solving a contradiction of sqrt(-1)

A equality have to senses: to represent a equivalence that have a infinity of situations

to force some conditions for a situation/form to be indeed a eequivalence (solutions of eq., etc)

A multiple equal that is used in your copybook why cannot be then used in Mathcad ? is not here a delimitation from real situations that softwares do because of their limitations sometime?

In mathematics, an equality is an assignment to a solver.

It is so from algebra rules long established . It is so in

CAS [Computer Algebra System], not peculiar to Mathcad.

Sorry, but can't understand what you are trying to use,

for sure your basic concept is erroneous.
