Newton Problem

Problem 5
Two lifeguards pull on ropes attached to a raft. If they pull in the same direction, the raft experiences a net external force of 334 N to the right. If they pull in opposite directions, the raft experiences a net external force of 106 N to the left.
a. Find the magnitude of the larger of the two individual forces. Answer in units of N.
Note: the book said the answer was 220 N but I don't know how that answer was attained?

Two lifeguards; A and B.

Pulling together A+B=334
Pulling opposite A-B=106

Find A and B
