60 mph=60 mph*(5280ft/mi)/(3600s/hr)=88ft/s=26.8m/s

An easy crib is the ft/s is approximately 1.5 times the value in mph, e.g., 60 mph ~ 90 ft/s

since there are 3.28 ft/m m/s is about 10% less than 1/3 of the ft/s, e.g., (90ft/s)/3=30 ft/s, subtract about 10% ->> 27m/s

Eden

That's just one of those conversions that got stuck in my head at an early age.

60 mph = 88 ft/sec

I thought everyone knew that.

So, who won, scubachick?

Thanks guys for helping! I already got it, like 2 minutes after posting. (+1:40pm)

All I did was slowed down and stop trying to rush it and I...well... did it.

Technicly , I won only cause I ran down the house and slid in front of my dad and gave him the answer first. But my sis and I really got up from our desks at the same time, and arrived almost the same time, I am just a faster runner.

But thanx anyway guys!!
