The attached sheet is an attempt to solve an ODE of a cantilever beam with tension and an applied end moment. It seems to work well until the tension load is raised to unreasonable levels, then the deflected position of the beam oscillates. This oscillation (I think) runs counter to what I would expect--the harder I pull, the straighter the bar,and it shouldn't reverse.
Any ideas? Insights?
