## This value must be a function, but has the form: any1.

Hi there,

I'm having problems with mathcad. I got a assignment in which the attached script was given.

For some reason it doesn't work though.

Any ideas?

1) you can't write the differential operator d/dt  by hand - you have to use the menu/palette or the keyboard short

2) Your system seems to be setup wrong - there is no solution

Well, I don't have Mathcad 15, when I open this in Smath it looks pretty lame.

Done in Prime 4 Express (so we can't write a solve block to do an odesolve,) see if this helps.

Hi Jonirt,

To learn how to use MATHCAD 15, you should take a look at the tutorial:

Fred showed you your error in setting up the equation and also a nice way to do it without "odesolve".

Here is the correct way to do it in the manner you tried and to other possibilities - all using odesolve (which unfortunately means "no units" in Mathcad 15):

Ah okay,
My instructor never clearly indicated that.
