When will PTC fix the M15 hyperlink https annoyance?

When will PTC fix the M15 hyperlink https annoyance?

As has been noted many time previously, entering an https address into the M15 hyperlink dialog produces an invalid path/address error.   To add insult to injury, as well as the annoyance of having to remember this when the problem occurs, the dreaded dialog even appears when linking to a Community thread!

Given that a simple fix is to remove the "s", why don't PTC just fix the problem (they could release it in M050 along with a fix to the limitation on matrix display size "feature" that got introduced in M040)?

Refresh my memory - is that when the Sun changes into a white dwarf or do you think there's an outside chance we might see it before the red giant phase engulfs the Earth?

Stuart,

Why should you use a link to the topic from the forum in the worksheet?

Traceability!  If somebody (eg, me!) downloads it and can't remember which thread it came from or why it came about, then there is a link back to the discussion that spawned it ... "spawn" being the right word for most of my worksheets!

Stuart

But you can simply paste the link in the text area of the worksheet.

Sure I can, but that doesn't create a hyperlink.
