You should statrt by going through the tutorials. In Mathcad 15 they are quite good, and will get you going on all the basics (and more) of Mathcad. I've never looked at the ones in Mathcad Prime, but there are some, so if you haven't done so already you should go through those.
Please find course in programming with Mathcad 15, including 3 chapters and 87 exercises, here:

Thanks so much. My next question. I am learning mathcad to docment my learning of calculus. Is there any software to help with illustrating calculus problems? What if I wanted to solve a related rate problem where water is flowing into a drywall mud pan that is shaped like a trapezoidal solid so that it is more narrow at the bottom than at the top but otherwise is similar to a pie pan. I would like to draw and dimension it. Is their software that would allow me to change the length and shape of the pan and have the dimensions reflect those changes. I would like to better visualize what math is saying to me.
To create 2d sketches you can use the integration between Mathcad and SmartSketch (http://www.intergraph.com/products/ppm/smartsketch/default.aspx).
Another useful example of this integration can be found here:
