Wireless Power Transfer Re-visited with Mathcad Prime 2.0


The power of Mathcad in solving complicated design problems is very well known. This worksheet will show the design of a coaxial gapped core fed from a central straight conductor. The primary current is 500 A. and the power transferred is 50 KW. This can be used to charge battery vehicles and could find other applications as well.

I did my first WPT since 40 years ago using high power valve oscillator but this one is based on inductive coupled coils.

Hi Ahmad,

MathCad can be indeed a powerful instrument.

We can find an exact solution for the coil diameter.

A tipp for you:A symbolic evaluation here is better for calculating the resistance R2 as following:
