cannot acivate with a licensed key file.

Trying to Activate with the Key file that you emailed me, but it will do nothing after browsing to the license key location on my computer. I selected the product to be activate and all I have is the screen that says Done, the following products has been licensed (PTC Mathcad Prime 6.0.0.0), and my only choice is to Exit. if I do Exit, it still says 28 days left or less days.

You must be aware that this is not the official PTC support but a user-driven forum where we discuss about th euse of Mathcad or Prime.

I assume you bought Prime, got a licence key which you did not manage to activate Prime with.

From time to time PTC employees scan the posts here and if you have luck someone will take care of you, but the best way sure is if you contact PTC support yourself.

Just in case you have any further doubts related to this query after referring to @Werner_E 's response.

Thanks for caring, but why do you think that THIS is the "original" one of the two double posts?

Please continue your discussion on the above link.

I don't think that continuation of the discussion is necessary. But you may have a look at the date and time of my answer to the thread you linked to (which was an attempt to consolidate the double post) and then look at the other answer given. Then you may reconsider who should have posted to which thread to avoid duplication 😉

@vnamboodheri

Its not good habit in a forum to change the text of your post, especially if already someone has answered to it and  the text change alters the message of the post entirely..
You may rather either follow up with another answer or, if you think its more appropriate to do so, edit your previous post, but let its wording unchanged and simply add your new thoughts, marking them clearly as an EDIT.

Changing a post without notice renders answers already done to it rather useless and let them look out of context and so this behaviour breaks the thread.

Does Mathcad have a tech support telephone number listed?

Not sure, but I guess - no. Many people here in the forum had reported that it's quite hard to get in touch with the right, competent person.
I guess the normal way is to set up a support ticket and wait what happens.

You might also consider answering the post of this PTC employee -> https://community.ptc.com/t5/PTC-Mathcad/cannot-acivate-with-a-licensed-key-file/m-p/689903/highlight/true#M192161
