Hi

I'm not sure what you are trying to do. However, you have a definition for d missing. After supplying it, the sheet worked (see attached sheet).

You don't need to define the second matrix as a function of d.

thank you for your answer Raiko, but d is not a integer, it is a variable like x . what i am trying to do is about sweeping a polygon to describe a surface.

i have to find q as a function of d

thank you

If you could provide the functions which describe the surface shape and some constraints we can try a solver such as find or minerr.

Thank you Raiko.

I just have a polygon which is P and the question is

"sweep it along the straight line z=2s to describe a surface"

Thank you for your replies and interest.

You say it correct and so you have to write q(d):=P.T(d)

BTW, its always better to attach the worksheet and not just a pic.

Ah, yes, and a more meaningful subject may help, too.

I am very new to the community and i will keep your advice in my mind.

No problem.

I think your inital question is answered but thats not what you are really after at the end, right?

No that is ok for now,

Thank you. I have to do some examples to get better about mathcad.

Ok, thought you wanted the surface to be plotted in a 3D-graph, too.
