unknown outofproc symbolic engine failure

Dear community,

I have problems with an failure called

unknown_outofproc_symbolic_engine_failure

I don`t know, if I can upload the file here.

If someone can help me, please give me your emailadress and I can send you the mathcadfile.

Thanks

You can upload the file here. It may require that you zip it first. There's a bug in this forum that in most cases won't let us upload .mcd, .xmcd and .mcdx files, but .zip files are OK.

Use windows file explorer, select the file and from the right-mouse manu select "send to" => "Compressed (zipped) folder". That will result in a .zip file which you can attach to you message or reply.

Success!

Seems OK to me with Prime 4.0 if I just go to "Calculation" tab and then click "Calculate".

Yes it works also with Prime 3.1 .  Thanks.

I thought that the calculations are done automatically, if

the button is pressed under "Calculation".

The rules of auto calculation have sometimes seemed a bit mysterius to me. Perhaps the original worksheet was saved in some funny state. I tried saving the worksheet after the calculation, and it reopened fine.
